This is my first blog post and a test on how to use this thing! Woo-hoo. I am 25 and part of the
Gen-Yers, and have been a regular social media user for
some time now, but I have never seriously considered blogging. Hell, I have
worked in marketing and advertising for all of 4 years and I am not even truly
clear how blogging works.
One of my good friends Theresa started blogging. Theresa is
one of my best friends and one of those people who is pretty much the best at
everything she does (overachiever). But, over the years she has helped me step
up my game, made me think about why am I not doing what Theresa does? Anyway, I
started actually reading blogs, let’s be honest, most of them are terrible.
After reading I feel like either A. This person has no idea what they are
talking about or B. NO ONE CARES what little baby Jake did today. Okay—I know,
I know everyone who has kids thinks they are the greatest, and wants the world
to see how great they are, and to help other Mom’s with advice, but for now I
am 25, with no kids, and I’m not reading about baby Jake. With that said, this
blog may often fall into Category A, hopefully not too often. I am hoping that
I am actually able keep up with posting, part of my motivation for starting
a blog in the first place is to stop being so LAZY. I have not yet picked an
area of focus, but hopefully I will find one, because most good blogs are
focused.
Anyway, I came across several blogs I actually enjoy
reading. Mostly by people that are much more successful and/or smarter than
myself, that talk about things that I can actually apply it to my own life.
One of these blogs is by Penelope Trunk, she is very opinionated, but rational
and I like that.
SO INSENSITIVE! Everyone wants to know what sweet baby Jake is up to. Also, I suspect you will be WAY better than me at this blogging thing.
